Membership

Membership is open to anyone who supports the mission of the Pikes Peak Opera League, enjoys the vocal arts and is willing to volunteer their time and talent.

We are organized exclusively for the charitable and educational purposes to:

• Promote knowledge and appreciation of opera;

• Encourage and support young and aspiring opera and musical theater talent; and, 

• Support Opera Theatre of the Rockies.

Originally founded in 1979 as the Colorado Festival Opera Guild, the organization has long supported opera and musical theater in the Region through thousands of hours of dedicated fundraising activity. The Pikes Peak Opera League, as it was named in 2001, continues the fine work of the Guild through a strong and committed membership and Board of Directors. 

 

What benefits do I receive as a member of the Pikes Peak Opera League?

• As a member of PPOL you:

  • receive free admission to programs  each year (catered special events and ticketed programs may incur an additional charge).

  • receive an annual directory that includes all members and a calendar of planned events.

  • receive periodic newsletters with PPOL information and news of other programs and events. 

  • may bring guests to events ($10 admission fee for non-members).

  • may be asked to volunteer with activities, such as providing event refreshments or other assistance.

 

How will I receive event invitations?
Event notices and invitations to most member events are sent by email. You are asked to respond to invitations with an online RSVP (or by email or phone). Want to make sure we have the most up-to-date email address on file? Contact us at ndenaray@gmail.com. 

 

When will my membership expire?
Membership fees are for the PPOL fiscal and program year of Sept. 1 to Aug. 31 of each year. Please renew by July 31 to be included in the Membership Directory.

How much are dues?

• Individual Membership: $50

• Couples/Family (living in the same household): $75

 

Dues do not cover scholarships or all program costs such as venue fees, vocalists and accompanist. Members are asked to support our mission by donating to the scholarship fund and/or sponsoring a program, event, soloist or accompanist so PPOL can continue bringing the finest talent to the Rocky Mountain Region. Your generosity will receive recognition in event and promotional materials (as time and space allows). If you wish your donation to be directed to a particular aspect of our mission or a specific event, contact ndenaray@gmail.com.

Can I bring a guest?

Starting in September 2024, non-members (public & members' guests) attending a program pay $10 admission, and for meal events pay $10 more than members. If they join as members during the year, this payment goes toward their member dues.
