Featuring Martile's Merry Singers. There will be a charge for the luncheon, and wine will be available for purchase.

Feb. 1, 2-4 pm Program at the Conservatory, 415 S. Sahwatch

Program with a mini-­concert from our Conservatory scholarship winners and a special appearance of Deborah Anderson, soprano, in concert, Celebrating Black History in Song. There will be a reception with dessert bites and decaf coffee.

Feb. 17, 5-8 pm, Special Event, Winter Wonder Fest at Patty Jewett Clubhouse, 900 E Espanola St.

"Can't Help Lovin'...Jerome Kern," this concert will feature Marcia Ragonetti (mezzo soprano), Travis Yamamoto (piano), and Steven Taylor (baritone) in a tuneful exploration of a very special chapter in The Great American Songbook, Marcia and Steve take on the legendary composer Jerome Kern,  once hailed by a joint Congressional resolution as "the father of American musical theatre."  Expect to be intrigued by historical insights while being serenaded with a musical feast of iconic songs including highlights from the celebrated musical Showboat.  This showcase of "life upon the wicked stage" could not be more heavenly and will leave you humming all the way home. There will be an elegant appetizer buffet and cash bar. March 1, 2-4 pm Program at The Penrose House in The Carriage House, 1661 Mesa Ave.

The program will feature Julie Silver Campbell, soprano, from Opera on Tap and Dr. Logan Contreras, mezzo, with songs

and commentary, Women Composers in Vocal Music. There will be assorted beverages and snacks available pre concert.

April 5, 11:30 am - 1:30 pm, at the Colorado Springs Youth Symphony Rehearsal Hall, 3113 Primrose Dr.

Spring Career Advancement Award winner concert. Audition winner to be announced. There will be a light buffet lunch and finger foods prior to the concert.

 

May 3, 5-7 p.m. Spring Soirée at The Pinery

The program will preview Opera Theatre of the Rockies’ Vocal Arts Festival and 25th Anniversary Celebration presented by Martile Rowland, OTR Director and Founder. There will be a charge and this replaces our usual spring luncheon. Appetizers with a cash bar will be available.

 

Special Event, Summer Song Fest, “Hats Off to Opera and Broadway”

Reception and program to celebrate Vocal Arts Festival and PPOL’s support of OTR in its 25th year. All proceeds go to the VAF Scholarship Fund. Tentatively scheduled for June 24, 6-8:30 pm at Millibo Theater, 1626 S. Tejon St.
